The Miami Foundation Awards ITWomen $11,000 Grant

MIAMI-June 2012 – The Miami Foundation has granted $11,000 for the ITWomen Role Model Speakers (RMS) Program. The ITWomen Charitable Foundation was one of 62 organizations selected from 300 applicants for funding through the Community Grants program.

“These organizations represent the depth and breadth of innovation and services offered across our county,” said Javier Alberto Soto, President and CEO of The Miami Foundation.

The RMS Program attracts female students ages 8 through 18 in two of Miami-Dade County’s targeted growth industries: technology & engineering. The grant was presented at a June 11 luncheon, “Bridging Generosity, Leadership and Grantmaking.”
