A exceptionally relaxing and fun get together at ITWomen’s recent Sunset Mixer has drawn happy feedback from the new guests and members who attended last Thursday at Seasons 52 restaurant in Boca Raton. President Claire Marrero presented an update on ITWomen’s upcoming fundraiser for scholarships, and announced two wonderful additions to the organization’s leadership.
Sharon Moura, who came straight from the airport in order to make the event, has accepted ITWomen’s invitation to join our Advisory Board. Sharon is Vice President, VP IT Strategy & Transformation and Commercial Excellence, at Tyco. ITWomen is also excited to welcome Barbara Russo, who has joined our Board of Directors and will serve as VP of Membership Development. Barbara is a PMO Director at JM Family Enterprises.
New friendships were forged and reconnections made as everyone watched the sunset from the restaurant deck and talked into the evening. Attendees included Pam Perrin of George Snow Foundation, Brenda Husinka, ITWomen’s Scholarship Selection Committee chair; Joy Ragin of World Fuel, Lesley Frohman of Sherlock Talent; Barbara Jones, Kirsten Cook, Morgan Brosman of K-Force, Wendi Tomlin, Liana Pernes, Patricia Ojeda of Kaden Consulting, Mariana Saslafsky, and Maria Asencio of South Florida Water Management. Lumenise Gilot, and Nikki Reid of The Talent Source.
