 As the holiday season unfolds, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude and celebrate the remarkable milestones we’ve achieved together this year. Your unwavering support and generosity have been the backbone of our success, and it’s with great pride that we share these accomplishments. Empowering Future Tech Leaders: This year, we hosted another impactful Summer Robotics Camp for Girls, a testament to our commitment to nurturing young talent. This incredible initiative was made possible thanks to the generous grant support of our friends at Akamai. Through this program, we’ve ignited the spark of curiosity and innovation in the minds of many young girls, paving the way for a more inclusive tech future by providing a safe space to explore hands-on engineering and programming concepts. Fundraising Success: We’re thrilled the return of our Scholarship Fundraiser, the “Celebrity CIO Poker Tournament” was not just another night of entertainment, but also a significant step towards bringing our community back together again to empower more young women. Thanks to the incredible CIOs who showed up, and the generous sponsorship from partners such as UKG, The Talent Source, Compuquip +Human, CGI+Momentum, Synergy, CAI, and individual donors we raised a remarkable $32,000. These funds will enable the award of four more $8,000 life changing Scholarships to young women from South Florida to pursue their college dreams in technology and related fields. Acknowledging Our Corporate Gift Partners: A special thank you to Virgin Cruises, Princess Cruises, and Marriott Vacations for their invaluable contributions as our Corporate Gift Partners. Their support has been instrumental in expanding our reach and impact. Looking Ahead to 2024: As we reflect on these successes, we also look forward to the new year with optimism and excitement. In 2024, we remain committed to supporting women already in technology through more Leadership Development programs. These initiatives are crucial in fostering an environment where women can thrive and lead in this new era of generative AI and exponential change. 2024 Scholarship Application opens January 4th Join Us for a Planning Session: To continue this momentum, we invite our members to join us for a planning session on January 31st. Your insights and participation are vital as we strategize to create programs that will help us meet the future and continue to break barriers in technology.
