Please join me in congratulating Jennifer Arbelaez, ITWomen’s 2024 Woman of Wonder! It was an incredible honor to present this prestigious award on November 14th at ITWomen’s Annual Celebrity hashtag#CIO hashtag#Scholarship Fundraiser, hosted at the beautiful Le Meridien Hotel with over 100 IT leaders in attendance.

Jen has been a tireless advocate for ITWomen’s mission over the past six years, forging a transformative partnership between Akamai Technologies and ITWomen. Her dedication has been nothing short of extraordinary. From mentoring our Scholars personally to leading her team in organizing impactful role model events, Jen’s efforts have inspired countless young women to consider the possibilities careers in technology can bring. Through her leadership, Akamai has also generously funded multiple FREE Summer Robotics and Coding Camps for girls in South Florida, opening doors to opportunities that empower future STEM leaders.

AKAMAI Empower Grant

A highlight of the evening was the announcement of a game-changing $50,000 Empower hashtag#STEM Grant from Akamai, spearheaded by Jen. This grant will enable ITWomen to expand our college mentoring program beyond its current capacity by hiring our first employee—an exciting step forward for our organization!
