ITWomen Awards $56,000 in College Scholarships to
South Florida High School Girls for Technology and Engineering
BOCA RATON, FL – June 15, 2015 – The ITWomen Charitable Foundation has awarded $56,000 in renewable four-year college scholarships to seven young South Florida women who are pursuing technology and engineering-related degrees.
The scholarships were presented at the George Snow Scholarship Fund 2015 Awards Reception June 4 at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center in Boca Raton, Florida.
The graduating seniors will be pursuing engineering degrees ranging from Computer Science and Civil Engineering to Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
ITWomen President Claire Marrero said, “We are grateful to the technology community in South Florida and across the nation for supporting ITWomen’s scholarship program, and are extremely proud of the amazing young women who promise to make a great impact in the technology and innovation industries in the coming years.”
