2nd Virtual Coding Boot Camp Starts July 6
Due to overwhelming demand, ITWomen will be holding a second FREE Virtual Coding Camp for girls from middle school to high school, starting Monday July 6.
Women in tech from Amazon, Google, Facebook, Publicis, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Microsoft, and Chewy have volunteered to speak to the girls and share their career journeys and life lessons.
Please spread the word about this wonderful opportunity for girls. The registration link is: https://secure.itwomen.org/event.jsp?event=38&
Here’s feedback from previous campers on their experiences and what they learned:
“Never be afraid to ask for help.”
“It is so much fun in this camp!”
“My counselors are amazing . . .”
“I wish we could do this longer!”
“I learned it is good to push yourself and not conform to the expectations or stereotypes of being a female in the workplace.”
The girls will take on 14 Engineering Challenges and transform their ideas into websites using Javascript, HTML and CSS, Photo Editing and Animation.
Our amazing camp counselors are ITWomen scholarship recipients pursuing IT or Engineering degrees. Camp lead Jade Minkoff and Gracie Bliss, Ashley Tirado Pujols and Chelsea Bishop will be conducting the camp from July 6 to July 19, Mon-Fri, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
